Bill Brown Update - June 20th
Hello again, dear relatives and friends.
I apologize for the delay in sending this update to you. Over the last few days I had some trouble accessing Dad’s e-mail account to get this out to you. Blessings continue. The surgeon believed he was able to remove the entire tumor. Pathological lab results received on Tuesday showed the cancer had not spread to the lymph nodes. The tumor had slightly penetrated the colon wall, however, so the doctors want to check Dad again in a few weeks, but currently there is no chemotherapy or radiation needed. Dad is recovering fairly well from the surgery, but his many other health issues are making the going somewhat slow. Nevertheless, the doctors think he may be discharged from the hospital next week.
From the beginning, we’ve been aware of God’s marvelous guidance through this experience. For instance, when Dr. Maddix performed Dad’s colonoscopy, a technician told her she had gone up far enough to look, but the doctor felt led to go further along, and that’s when she found the tumor. “I’m a Christian, Mrs. Brown,” she told my Mom, “and I know it was the Lord who told me to continue my examination.” From conversations he’s had with them, my Dad thinks that at least four of his doctors are Christians.
Once again, thank you all for your prayers for him. You can’t know how much the Brown family appreciates your interceding on his behalf. What a blessing it is to be reinforced by such an army of God, as literally dozens and dozens of people have sent him e-mail messages of encouragement.
Donna and I are headed back to the mainland tomorrow, but you’ll be kept informed of any progress. hopefully soon from Dad himself.
Dad asked me to say that, from beautiful Maui, love from he and my Mom is sent in a very special way.
Bill Brown Jr.
Proverbs 3: 5 & 6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Dad’s favorite scripture.)

I am looking for information in regard to an email I recieved today. This email is called the Tidal Wave of Obsama. The email claims to be written by Bill Brown, who is a member of the Billy Graham Assoc. I am trying to find out if this email is true or false. The only information I can find is from my.barackobama.com from a blog by Darren Meahl. He claims there is no such person as Bill Brown and questions the validity of the email. He also offers a rebuttal to the statements made in the email about Obama. Actually, I always check out the validity of emails before forwarding them to others. If Bill Brown did not write this warning concerning Obama, I would like to know. Thanks for your help. Martha Peterson
