Dear Partners:

“Not long afterwards He began a tour of the cities and   villages of Galilee to announce the coming of the Kingdom of God, and took his twelve disciples with Him… Susanna, and many others who were contributing from their private means to the support of Jesus and his disciples.”

                                                Luke 8:1-3

We see here clearly that Jesus has made the proclaiming of God’s Kingdom a team effort.  We are on a mission - all of you who participate in my support are part of this effort.  We have been called by God to be “a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation a peculiar people to show forth the praises of HIM who has called us out of darkness into his marvelous light.”  I Peter 2:9

That is what we are doing – you and I are showing forth the praises of Him.  We are no longer in darkness.  Jesus has told us we are the light of the world and as we light the way for others they too are delivered out of darkness into His marvelous light.

I think of the young Persian man I met who saw the light of Jesus. He eagerly listened as I shared God’s love in my life and then God’s love for him.  How openly he prayed to receive Christ and asked His direction for his life. Then I prayed for him and gave him some materials to look over to help him grow in his faith in Christ, what a blessing.

I have not yet returned to Maui due to having extensive dental work in Southern California. It is very expensive and as always, I am trusting the Lord to meet my needs. He is so faithful. God has provided me places to stay while on my visit here, with my daughter and then with a few gracious friends.

On my return from visiting family in Palm Springs, a young man got on the bus in Los Angeles.  When we stopped in Hollywood, he changed seats to sit by me.  His name was Hussein, a doctor from Nigeria visiting the US for 3 weeks. As we chatted he told me he was a Muslim and I told him of my trip to Egypt many years ago. I was shooting a film “The Crescent and the Cross” which compared Islam and Christianity. As we continued to speak I shared the Gospel with Hussein. Telling him that salvation cannot be paid for nor earned by our own works but a gift freely paid for and given to us by Jesus through His death upon the cross for our sins. Quoting John 3:16 and Romans 3:23 he listened intently. By the end of our conversation, God gave me the opportunity to pray with Hussein to invite Jesus into his life.

God arranged a divine appointment using a three week visit and a short bus trip to bring this man to a saving knowledge of His son, Jesus. It is always so rewarding to watch God’s plan unfold. As we left the bus, Hussein hugged me and I knew one more had been added to the kingdom.

Several days later, while visiting an old friend, he reminded me that in 1951, at Forrest Home Christian Conference Grounds, he was one of eighteen others that I had prayed with to receive Christ that week. He went on to say he went to seminary and worked for Billy Graham at the Philadelphia Crusades. Since then he has spent years giving his testimony to thousands and told me he will never forget how one night changed his life forever.

Just as my logo states we are winning the world for Jesus “one person at a time”.

I have the joy of reporting to you the special things God is doing. Each of you, are a vital part of this ministry. Thank You Dear Ones.

Lovingly, in Christ
